Sewing Circle

NEW DATES FOR FALL 2026 !

In addition to promoting resale as an alternative to new clothing, we promote mending and repair of clothing as another way of reducing reliance on new things. 

Sewing Circle is officially a Central Congregational Church event, open to public for people in the Second Serve community and any other community who wants to attend- everyone is welcome! We gather together to mend, sew, and create new items from old! Our Sewing Circle meets every couple weeks at:

Central Congregational Church, 296 Angell Street, Providence, RI 02906 (Enter on Diman Place)

All levels of skill are welcome! We work together helping each other on a variety of projects: repairing projects from home, upcycling projects, mending donations from Second Serve that need TLC, quilting, visible mending and textile art! Please bring any project you like- knitting and crafts are great too! 

And, you are most welcome to come without a "project". Have a cup of tea and hang out!

This is a wonderful time for community. No RSVP needed, just show up!
