Rare archival find! Elevate your outerwear collection with this breathtaking statement piece from the historic French luxury furrier, Sprung Frères Paris, lovingly donated from our longtime donor in Chicago (it's not quite warm enough for Chicago!). The "Création" in the label indicates the coat is from the late 1970s, or the 1980s, and the donor informed me she purchased it over 20 years ago from the Galeries Lafayette department store in Paris, with a retail price over $1000.
The mink lining is buttoned in. There is a missing button on the lower right side (see last picture). There is a belt and two loops on the sides, as well at two right in front. Two hand pockets. I am no furrier, but the mink is plush without bald spots or uncovered areas. The fur around the collar is fluffy. There are uneven parts with the lining (it's pieced together), and there in one small spot "going grey". Please look at the pictures carefully. This trench is in excellent vintage condition, with light wear only on the fur. I can't detect any flaws in the silk outer shell. Don't wear it in the rain- silk is not going to respond well!
